Reflexology
is the technique of applying pressure to reflexes on the
feet to bring about a state of deep relaxation,
stimulate the body’s own healing abilities and balance
both mind and body.
Reflexology
can both rejuvenate and relax. It has been shown to be
extremely effective on a wide variety of health issues,
and has had excellent results reducing stress, with
conception, pregnancy symptoms and labour, migraines,
PMS, insomnia, back pain, Multiple Sclerosis, as well as
urinary, digestive and immune system problems.
An
increasing number of people simply use reflexology to
maintain their general health and well-being, and to
keep their stress
under control. In fact, that's how my own
interest in Reflexology and complementary therapies
began, several years ago.
At
the time I was living in New York, working in a very
stressful, pressurised environment. I was amazed at the
difference the reflexology treatments made to my sense
of wellbeing and stress levels. Simply put, Reflexology
has been the most effective treatment for stress I have
ever experienced.
Not
long after that first treatment, I decided to change my
career and started training to become a holistic massage
practitioner. It is the best decision I have ever made,
and I hope that you too can find a greater sense of
